Welcome to Creating with D!

Hi there! Thank you for being here! My name is Denise, the curator behind Creating with D based in sunny Singapore. I've been creating art from young ever since I could remember, from random doodles on my textbooks in school to painting things that caught my interest, art has always been a way of expressing myself. Fast forward to 2020 when Covid-19 hit, was also when I got diagnosed with Lupus, an autoimmune condition. Throughout my first year of diagnosis and recovery, I found myself not being able to be as active and doing as much as before. Having been very active in competitive sports for most of my life, this was something I struggled very hard with to accept, which is when I turned to painting. Painting calmed me down and gave me peace of mind. It quickly became a form of therapy for me which has not only helped in my ongoing recovery, but also blossomed into an ever-growing passion. Art has brought me joy through difficult times, and I hope my creations can bring you the same (:
